In Jerusalem with Harry!

After a pleasant flight from the states to Jerusalem via Heathrow we arrived to a 2 hour wait at passport control in Israel.

And then... A ride to Jerusalem in the rain. Harry met us at the Dan Panorama and they upgraded us to the King David Hotel, that right, the hotel from EXODUS. It was a delight. Although we were exhausted from the trip.

The next day we transfered back to the Dan Panorama. We rented a car and went off to visit Beer-Sheva and Revivim. An interesting day, a lot of driving and a view of the Negev that was often desolate an breath taking.

Back to Jerusalem and a Friday of walking thought the Old City... The Kotel... Narrow streets etc. What a country. Also got a peek at King David's Tomb. (Might not be but I prayed for world peace anyway.)

Having a great time. Shabbat started with Friday night at the Har-El with lots of HUC students and dinner with some of Harry's friends.

Saturday we spent with the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Shrine of the Book. Quite an experience.

That brings us to now.

Sitting in Harry's new apartment.

Funny, I don't miss the states yet. The food is wonderful and Jerusalem is as captivating as it was ten years ago. The first thing you start to imagine is living here. It is that kind of place.

BTW: CNN worldwide covers the elections for about 15mins of every hour.
